Timed past training past and every day Jonas grow more and more as a person. One day The Giver transfer the memories of an elephant been killed, and Jonas asked himself why they do that.  The memory had really touch Jonas heart is the memory of Color. This memory became really important to Jonas and he always asked himself why people can’t see it. Jonas had the idea to transfer this memory to his friend Asher, but it didn’t work because Asher doesn’t have the ability to see beyond.  Memories make Jonas so happy but he also felt pain and these feelings are what make us who we are or should make us who we are. The memories Jonas had receive are not just rainbows and snow it was also pain, sunburn, hunger, war, love and one of the best memories the slide one.  War and hunger make Jonas been impressed, and he think it wasn’t a thing that someone will like to feel. This makes me think that the community makes people forget these memories because they are painful and is horrible to feel it. After sometime Jonas and his family were taking care of baby Gabe, and he can’t sleep at night, so Jonas decide to transfer the memories to baby Gabe. Does Baby Gabe will understand theme?

”They never feel the pain" Jonas said. These quote make me think that know Jonas is really having pain with the memories he is receiving. But with those memories now he could understand why the community has so many laws, restrictions and why people don’t know about memories.  I think that with the pain Jonas is having with memories he could change the way the community is ruled or even how people feel about the laws (they will have more freedom).

The Giver had been a book that I connected in real world because everyone wants to have a better place to leave, like Jonas community. I connected with the real world because we have laws that were made with a reason, and maybe it is like that because something happened in the past, like Jonas community animal poaching, war and more.  Chapter 13 through 16 is been interesting has a lot to connect with and makes you read more and more.

The Giver chapter 9 to 12

Jonas have been selected as the receiver, and for Jonas that job wasn’t something   amazing. His parents told him that to be a receiver of memories is an honored job that everyone in the community respected.  After a while when every one receive their instructions, every person have folders of instructions of their new jobs. When his friends opened their folder have lot of papers but for Jonas was only one. Jonas was expecting more papers but when he stared reading theme in the paper said things that he wasn’t allowed to do in the past.  Besides Jonas was kind of confused about the instructions he had a lot of questions.  After time passed Jonas start his training as the receiver, but at the beginning of the training the older receiver told him that the training will be painful and he could suffer. Jonas has a lot of questions about it, and specially questions of the community, things that anyone could know.  When their training start Jonas saw colors and the elephants, and I connected that to the real world because people steel hunt animals, and that similar on the memories that Jonas receive.

In The book there were the instructions that Jonas need to follow, and some really make me think if Jonas will be shocked or impressed.  In the instruction said that he could lie and he can make any question he want, and the good part of it is that he could ask ant thing, like memories of the past, community, people, colors and more. What I really think is why people were prohibited to know about the past, choose their family units, wife’s, jobs and more. These instruction that Jonas have receive I think that would help him becoming better person; receiver and even he could help the community. Seeing beyond is an ability that people have and I think is an essential part of life.

I think that The Giver is in the best part, because the author makes us to know more about Jonas life and his new job. I think that chapters 9 to 12 are the rising action because it is the part were the highest point is.

The Giver Chapters 5-8

Dreaming something that is not permitted  in the community change you´re life. We all have dreams but in our case is permitted. Jonas have a dream that he never was suppose to have, and because of that dream Jonas really knew that he really likes what he feels  about Fionna. The next morning that Jonas had  the dream, he told his family about it, and his family react very well. The problem about telling her parents abpot the dream he had is that they make him take pills for don´t have stirrings. That day was the ceremony of Twelves,  and for Jonas was a very important day, they will assigned  his job.  When he and his family arrived to the auditorium, Jonas was very bored because the ceremony of Twelves was at the end. He was happy of his sister to be a Eight, but also feel nervous about Fionna, because he would not going to see him as much as he wanted. When finally the ceremony of  Twelves start people were getting their jobs, Jonas was kind of nervous but the good part of it was that the jobs he didn´t  like were not assigned to him. The time has finally come it was time to announce Jonas job, but then Chief Elder skip his name. Jonas  was shoked because he think that he forget about his number. But after he appologize and told him what h would going to be. Jonas was selected to be the recever.

"I dont like hair ribbons. I am glad that I need to were theme one more year, and  next year I get my bicycle, too," Lili said. I think individuality is a very important part of life because it make the path of life you want to make. In Jonas community is not to much individuality as people normaly have, and I think that the community is making wrong the desition that they will make the desitions that each person ned to have. Thise quote rimind´s me to the Truman´s Show becasue Christoph make the life that Truman "should have" (his idea of a perfect life, with out lies, war, fear). The Giver make me think about how it would be Quito if we had that law, it would not be nice. The Giver and Truman´s show are connected in many way´s with The Giver, and I think that the leaders of the community had the same idea of a perfect life, no war, no fire and no discussion´s.

I predict that Jonas will make a change in his community, because he is a guy who like to be with his friends, help others etc.  Jonas like the feeling of liking some one (stirrings) and that feeling in the community is not permitted. I think that Jonas will change the rule that people can have feelings to each other and also I think that he would give more liverty to people desitions and life.  I always ask how would  Quito be with that rule, I think that people would get annoyed. To finalize The Giver has been a book that change the way you think about life and show you values that you didn´t  realized they were important.

Summery of the giver 1-4

                                                                     The Giver Fun Summery
Jonas, a boy of 11 years old  live in a perfect community. Jonas has a normal life, family and friends. He is a boy that love to help other people and he loves to be with his family and his friend, Asher.  The community follow the rules, care of each other, respect the ones, nines, elevens and twelve's ceremony. Jonas community care a lot of the meaningful life, and for have a meaningful life you need to have an assigned job, a family unit, and follow the rules. Jonas live his life as he wanted helping others, playing with his friends, go to school and the good part of his life is that he don't think about his future.  In the community that Jonas life the ceremony of twelve is one of the most important ceremony, because the kids were going to be assigned to the jobs that they will have all their life's.

2. text response:

"So I expected it, and I was pleased, but not all surprised, when my assignment was announced as nurture" "They were happy for me, that my assignment was what I wanted most," Father said. (PG 16) This quote make me infer that for Jonas community is very important to have a job, but is also a thing that you need to like. For Jonas society was very important that people have a worck for be respect by the community, grow up you're family well and its obligatory to have a job science your 12. Besides, for the community is important to have a job is also like that job, because that will be you ’re job your entire life.  In conclusion these quote make’s me think that Jonas is a community that care a lot of organization.

3.The Giver has been an interesting book.  It makes people think another way of life that humans  never had specked  that life will be like that. In my perspective The Giver is a book that shows people that life is not just money and that stuff, most important is the community, family, jobs etc. These book show’s me that there are so many things that could be fun instead of computer, TV and Iphones. It show me that helping other people make life fun and you can help youre community better. I recommend The Giver because is a book that shows values that people will never specked. Every time I read The Giver I always remind about my community because we all try to be better persons, help others, have a job and most important it shows important values that will help you all you're life. To finalize I recommend The Giver to people who are interested to learn new things, want to make their life easier.
